Welcome to our lejog07 fundraiser website.

Sit back, relax, read all about our fundraiser……& thank your lucky stars it’s not your derrierre doing this trip!

It all began when our friend & colleague Kelly, was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year, at the age of 30. At present, medical experts believe the tumour to be benign, but it is still being investigated. Due to the location of the tumour, it is inoperable (not safe to even have a biopsy), & with 1 in 3 people now suffering from cancer at some point during their life, it remains a scary time for Kelly.
It causes many side effects, one of which is epilepsy. Due to fits & a high dosage of medication, Kelly has lost her driving licence. This not only effects her day to day living, but her favourite hobby of motor-biking, & her future career plans. In fact, there are lots of things that we take for granted, that Kelly can no longer do, or has to do in moderation. Kelly has an amazingly positive attitude, & feels that even after this blow, she is more fortunate that many others. At the end of last year, Kelly came up with the idea of cycling from Lands End to John O‘Groats (Lejog07), to raise money for charity.
So, as a result, the team will be wheezing, wobbling & whinging their way over 951 miles! This ‘challenge’ starts on Saturday July 28th & is planned to run over 12 days. The first day is a gentle 43 miles, & at least 3 days tipping the 100 mile mark…..ouch.! We are looking to raise sponsorship for 3 charities - Cancer Research UK (National) (hopefully we can raise enough to support local cancer charities too), Epilepsy Action (National) & Helen & Douglas House Hospice (Local). We also need to raise money to fund the team with transport/fuel & accommodation, so that we can have at least the finale night in a bed, rather than on the floor of a tent!

If you would like to make a donation, or require any further information please contact us by email @ lejog07fundraiser@hotmail.com - leaving your Name, Address (for Gift aid), contact details & the amount you would like to pledge. Thank You
